The Battle of Britain is over. Furious in defeat, Goring promises Hitler that he will drop a bomb on the Houses of Parliament on New Year’s Eve, thereby wrecking Big Ben too.

One man stands in their way: Arthur Spielmann, the Jewish clockmaker who keeps Big Ben chiming. Spielmann overhears a conversation between two members of a Tory Party faction, working with the Nazis, both of whom have links with Oswald Moseley.

Arthur needs someone to infiltrate the conspirators—and his young wife, Audrey, is the only one he trusts. But will she leave their young daughter and risk her own life for her country?
